A token for nothing

A token for nothing
Falls forever
It pulls at heart strings
Like a tiny fish
unable to hook itself
Stealing the bait away
Darting off into darkness

  1. No matter that you say you’re not a poet; here is proof. Despite having no idea of what the poem means (to me or to the author), I am still moved.

  2. Hey, just saw the new banner. Thank you. How did you know how much I needed to read that today – see, I mean 🙂

  3. Hero–I like the “pulls at heart strings” part. I also like the periodic changes to your banner–keeps me on my toes (especially liked the “looking for an ‘e'”). But you absolutely totally entirely forever ‘n ever captured my heart with the Gordon Lightfoot line today! –“if you could read my mind–” Well, surely you could and did. (And I probably will still read that book again, no matter how many boxes of tissues I use up–that’s just the way I is.)

Have an excellent, blessed day, my friend and brother!

  4. I really love this one. That image of the little fish stealing the bait and darting off into the darkness – very cool! 🙂

  5. I couldn’t stop reading this. Over and over. Like a little fish, I kept coming back. God bless you!

  6. First snow?
    love this one; bang on!
