Of mail and monsters

While the mail is delivered sea monsters sleep on the bottom of the ocean
Dreaming of overturned ships
Salty, bloody water

The letters are giddy as they lay in the darkness
Happy pawns
Thin little minions
Crisp and dry

Dear sea monster
Love and kisses
Sweet dreams

  1. How did you ever come up with combining sea monsters and mail in such a succinct little poem? Masterful and macabre – I love the surprise of it!

  2. Yes, Hero, I believe in sea monsters that eat mail! I was once a mail lady . . .hahaha!

  3. I missed this one somehow. Interesting, very original–I kinda like it, but haven’t figures out why…God bless you today!

    • It is easy to miss things that are hidden …like sea monsters and who knows what’s in a mailbox? ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks for liking it even if you don’t know why. ( that is one of the best compliments for things of this nature ๐Ÿ˜‰ )
