Eldershell

We walk upon the past
Never asking the dead things to hold us up or bless our food with their nutrients

As if the past owed us a living

Are we debtors
Did they leave us a decision
Anything more than a monument to stumble upon

The past has left us destitute

Dreaming
in the shade of sundials
Until everything is black and white

We borrow from the future
And find ancient wisdom there
In the empty coffers

      Thanks Dave
I really enjoy your photos and words.
I used to drive a long way to work but I never made the most of it like you do.
