Why I love your helicopter (A special Valentine’s poem)

Pour every color of paint down the inside wall of a plastic tube
Let it drip all over the desert
Speckling lizards and cacti
Take your helicopter back to where you started
Call it ” rabbit trail”
Call it “Candyland”
Call it
Art
If there is trouble only ask forgiveness

Pour every color of paint down the inside wall of a plastic tube
Stand under it until you look
Like an old candle
Paste a large wick to your head
Go downtown and ask for a light
Park your helicopter behind the bank

Pour every color of paint down the inside wall of a plastic tube
Let it drip to the floor
Get in your helicopter and fly to South America before it dries
